Resin bound Terrabound for renovating entrance roads to country park orangery in South Wales

    Contractor Landcraft Projects Ltd

    Terrabound 6mm Golden Tan

Addagrip approved contractor, Landcraft Projects, was approached by Uplands Construction (Wales) Ltd to lay 363m2 of 6mm Terrabound ‘Golden Tan’ resin bound paving to the newly renovated entrance roads to the 18th Century Orangery in Margam Country Park, South Wales.

Margam Country Park is an 850 acre park located just outside Port Talbot which can trace its history back to pre-historic times and houses the remains of the 12th century Norman Abbey, the 19th century mansion or ‘Castle’ as it is commonly referred too and the fully restored 18th century Orangery which is the longest in the United Kingdom.

The park is now owned by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and the Orangery is used extensively for weddings, conferences and special events

The existing bound gravel access road was well worn and in need of upgrading but it was imperative that the new surface be in keeping with the building and surrounds whilst also offering durability.

Addagrip Terrabound ‘Golden Tan’ was chosen by the client which was laid over a new macadam base during the school holidays.

Work was completed in February half term 2019 in time for the Mayors Annual Charity Ball.
