BBA approved Addaset creates functional pathways for redevelopment of west London residential estate

    Contractor Total Protection (GB) Ltd

178m2 Addaset Acorn and 247m2Addaset Tuscan Pebble

Addagrip approved contractor Total Protection (GB) Ltd recently installed over 450m2 of BBA approved Addaset and Terrabound Resin Bound porous surfacing for this residential development in West London.

Redevelopment of Rectory Park Estate in Northolt will see the replacement of the 1970’s two-storey houses, three-storey flats and medium-rise blocks in-situ, with modern, affordable housing. The development will also see rejuvenation of community facilities such as play parks and improved pedestrian access to local shops.

Total Protection were asked by Edenway Contractors Ltd to install BBA Approved Addaset and Terrabound products to the pathways and entrances to two new build blocks. The client selected a 6mm ‘Tuscan Pebble’ to complement the dark red brick work to one of the buildings. An area of 247m2 was installed for the building's surrounding pathways. A contrasting area of 172m2 of 6mm ‘Acorn’ Addaset blend was installed to the entrances of a second building to match the lighter brick work.

Work was carried out over three non-consecutive days due to the recent hot weather which required the operatives to work quickly and efficiently installing the Resin Bound surfacing to avoid the material curing too quickly in the 28°C heat! Despite the hot weather conditions, the works were completed to a high standard and the client was delighted with the end result.

The development is due for completion in 2020.
