Rustic looking porous pathways for public garden in West Sussex

    Contractor True Grip Ltd

    210m2 Terrabase Rustic Oak

Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd was asked by Horsham District Council to provide a natural looking paving solution for the pathways at St Mary’s Garden of Remembrance in Horsham, West Sussex.

The Garden of Remembrance, close to St Mary’s Church, has been an important public green space in the centre of Horsham for nearly 100 years.

As part of the recent refurbishment of the garden, the council were looking to replace the existing worn York Stone paved pathways with a seamless resin bound system. To avoid additional groundworks, Addagrip’s Terrabase Rustic, a ‘no-dig’ Resin Bound surfacing system was selected to provide a porous decorative surface in keeping with the natural setting.

True Grip removed the existing paving and regulated the surface to receive the Terrabase Rustic system, working around the public with minimum disruption. Installing 210m2 of Rustic Oak aggregate blend has rejuvenated the pathways with a low maintenance, natural looking surface with excellent porosity, making the garden accessible all year round for pedestrians and wheelchair users.
