Addastone resin bonded pathways for prestigious Golf Club in Surrey

    Contractor True Grip Ltd

    Addastone 2-5 Corn Flint

Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd, was appointed to install over 5000m2 of Addastone Resin Bonded surfacing for the pathways at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey, one of the world’s finest golf and country clubs.

The club is currently undergoing a £20 million investment in works to improve facilities at the Surrey location which is home to the famous castellated Clubhouse, three championship courses and a Tennis & Health Club.

The renovation work in preparation for the BMW PGA Championship in May 2017 included re-seeding of the greens and the resurfacing of course pathways.

The client was looking to replace the existing gravel paths with a surface that would be hard wearing, low maintenance and decorative using a material that would be sympathetic to Course and the heritage of this world famous club. Addastone resin bonded surfacing was selected using a 2-5mm Corn Flint natural aggregate finish to give resilient pathways with good slip resistance and the look of loose gravel but without the maintenance issues.

True Grip completed the pathways over a 21-day period 4 days ahead of schedule in April 2017 in time for the BMW PGA Championship.
