Addabound chosen for exterior surfacing of new Enterprise Centre

    Contactor Algek Flooring Ltd

Addagrip are delighted to have been involved in the newly built Enterprise Centre building which opened in June 2015 at the University of East Anglia.

The 3,400m2 scheme includes an innovation lab, a 300-seat lecture theatre, flexible workspaces, teaching and learning facilities, and incubator units for low carbon start-ups.  The project was designed to meet specific environmental BREEAM and Passivhaus targets and features a striking thatched exterior.

Addagrip approved contractor, Algek Ltd, was appointed to install over 900 sqm of resin bound surfacing around the exterior of the building which is located at the gateway to the campus.  In keeping with the building’s green credentials, the client selected Addabound, a resin bound surfacing option that is not only porous but contains recycled content as part of the natural aggregate blend.

A 6mm Oyster blend was installed in keeping with the colour scheme of the contemporary new building, providing a beautiful yet practical low maintenance, hard wearing surface.
