Resin Bound Car Park and Pedestrian areas for new church in West Sussex

    Contractor  Total Protection (GB) Ltd

Terrabound 6mm Rhine Gold and 6mm Trent

Trinity Methodist Church in East Grinstead has been a landmark building in the area since it was built in 1938. In February 2014 work started to demolish the old church and replace it with a new modern place of worship.  With its increased capacity, the multi-use building has been designed to provide a state-of-the-art performance venue for music, dance, drama, meetings, and other suitable events.

As part of the process, Addagrip approved contractor Total Protection (GB) Ltd was appointed to install a new car park surface and pedestrian walkways in a practical resin bound system with a contemporary look to complement the modern new building.

The design of the car park required the installation of two colours of resin bound Terrabound surfacing –  Rhine Gold for the pedestrian areas and Trent to delineate the parking bays.  Definition was enhanced with the installation of an aluminium edge beading detail.

The Addagrip approved contractor installed a total of 6 resin bound areas resulting in a low maintenance, hard wearing, porous surfacing to reflect the modern, clean lines of the contemporary new church.

The work was completed in time for the official opening in May 2015.
