  • January 2015 Updates

Happy New Year to all our newsletter readers.

After a busy 2014 for the Addagrip Terraco staff and a growing network of contractors, we start 2015 full of optimism for the forthcoming year.  It is certainly encouraging to see our contractors continuing to install some fantastic projects throughout the UK and overseas; their commitment to providing quality workmanship is very much appreciated by us all.  We continue to work closely with specifiers and our installers to ensure we provide the best surface finishes. The strengthening of our long term working relationships is a key part of our continuing success.

As the resin bound and resin bonded market continues to grow, the increasing competition does prove challenging. However, as the market leaders, we will continue to build on our experience and knowledge to maintain the high standards that we set for the quality of our products, technical support and prompt sample service.

Please make a date to come and visit the Addagrip Terraco stand S3092 at Ecobuild 2015; we will have some new and exciting products for external surfacing and internal decorative floors on display.

Thank you for reading our monthly newsletters and we look forward to an exciting 2015.

    Making an exhibition

Addagrip approved contractor, Resin & Rock, were delighted to be appointed to install 21m2 of resin bound surfacing around the base of a number of the Plane trees on the newly redeveloped Exhibition Road in the Royal Borough of Chelsea and Kensington. A 6mm Lucerne Silver was used to replace the existing self-binding gravel finish to fulfil the clients’ requirements for a porous, hard wearing and aesthetically pleasing surface capable of tolerating the high pedestrian flows in this busy street. A super-flex collar was included in the installations to allow for tree growth.

    Pavement Perfection

Addagrip approved contractor, Total Protection (GB) Ltd, recently completed a 107m2 resin bound pavement installation in front of a busy apartment block near Onslow Square, London.

The scope of works for this project included the installation of the macadam substrate and a porous Resin Bound Terrabound using a 6mm Chocolate Buff aggregate blend.

The area was separated into bays by Yorkstone paving which were protected throughout the application of the macadam substrate and resin bound gravel. Additionally, access for the tenants of the apartment block had to be maintained throughout the duration of the works which were completed over a 5 day period.

    To the Manor Born

Heritage Design & Build recently appointed Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd to manage the installation of the macadam sub base and Addagrip Addastone to this prestigious property in St Georges Hill. 493m2 of Addastone resin bonded surfacing was installed, using 1mm-3mm Buff Chinese Bauxite to provide a hard wearing, natural aggregate finish. The client requested a heating system was incorporated into the asphalt on the access ramps to the underground garage, ensuring that the Addastone surface would remain snow-free in the winter months.
