First Class porous pathways at The Hurlingham Club

Addagrip approved contractor, True Grip, were delighted to receive an invitation to tender for a project at The Hurlingham Club, one of Britain’s most prestigious private members’ clubs, set in 42 acres of beautiful grounds bordering the Thames in Fulham.

The Hurlingham Club wanted to upgrade, refurbish and enhance the paths leading from the main entrance to the club house and selected True Grip as the main contractor for the project. Some years ago True Grip installed Addagrip's Resin Bound porous Addaset to the main reception entrance, which has proven to be both durable and aesthetically pleasing.

The existing concrete edging kerbs were removed from all of the paths and treated timber edging was installed to soften the appearance of the pathways. Holes were drilled into the existing macadam to help remove surface water and 30mm thick of porous open-graded macadam surface course was used to regulate and smooth the existing deteriorating surface.

Finally, Addagrip's 6mm Chocolate Buff Resin Bound porous surfacing system was installed to 1,000m² of footpaths by True Grip, working in phases to accommodate the members and to cause minimum disruption to the operation of the club.

    Alexandra Park gets a makeover

As part of the £5.5 million regeneration of Alexandra Park in Manchester’s Moss Side, Addagrip approved contractor Coatech was asked by Principal Contractor Balfour Beatty to install Resin Bonded surfacing to the area around the new Pavilion. The system selected was Addagrip’s Addastone Resin Bonded surfacing in a Trent Pea 3-6mm aggregate which complemented the park’s natural surroundings. In total, 385m² of Resin Bonded surfacing was installed, providing an excellent anti-slip finish surrounding the Pavilion. Coatech worked closely with the client to ensure that the park remained open to the public throughout the installation and that the area was ready for its grand reopening event in August.

    Bringing the Med to Devon

Addagrip approved contractor, iDream Solutions, have just completed this Mediterranean inspired project in Bishopsteignton, South Devon, using a Terrabound Resin Bound porous surfacing in 3mm Autumn Toffee. To complement the main surfacing on the sloping driveway, the client requested a red pavior edging at the bottom and a brindle and red combination at the top.  The client was delighted with the transformation of the driveway and impressed with the thorough preparation and care that Adam and his team took to ensure a perfect finish, adding, “We would have no hesitation in recommending iDream.”
