Seeing stars at Chelsea! Tree Pit pathway at Flower Show

We were delighted to be asked by Guruve to provide a resin bound pathway in Addastone TP Trent Pea for the company’s stand at Chelsea this year. And we are even more delighted to report that Guruve - which promotes the very best in contemporary African art and sculpture - was awarded four stars for its stand! At Chelsea, the sculptures were displayed on stunning plinths, provided by our friends at Chilstone.

We’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Long Rake Spar, for donating the aggregate for the path.

    Putting on a show

We are delighted to be attending the South of England Show – at The South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex - on June 5, 6 and 7. We’ll be on stand 14F and will be joined on there by our approved contractor True Grip Ltd and aggregate supplier, Long Rake Spar Co Ltd.

At the Show we will be featuring the Addagrip Resin Bound Surfacing range which includes Addaset, Addabound (with recycled content) and our Commercial Grade system, Terrabound. The Resin Bound products are all suitable for driveways, patios, pathways and swimming pool surrounds, offering a porous, low maintenance, seamless and attractive surface in a selection of natural aggregate colours. If you prefer the loose gravel look, Resin Bonded Addastone provides a hard wearing, decorative, natural aggregate finish that gives the appearance of a loose gravel surface but without the maintenance issues and is suitable for driveways, patios and pathways.

    Restoration project in Plymouth

Addagrip approved contractor, Resin Bonded Surfacing of Doncaster, was pleased to be appointed to carry out the installation of 750m² of Addastone Resin Bonded Surfacing at Drake’s Place, Plymouth. This formed part of a £1.4 million restoration project made possible thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Big Lottery Fund and investment from Plymouth University.

A 2-5mm Corn Flint aggregate was selected for the pathway areas, as part of the plan to improve access and restore features including fountains and the Watch House.

Working to a tight deadline, the team took advantage of a break in the weather to install the Addastone Resin Bonded System, but first had to dry out the existing surface which was still damp from the preceding wet weather.

Dave Tweedie of Resin Bonded Surfacing said: “We faced a challenge to get the job done on time but our team based at our Plymouth office managed to get the surface installed over a 1.5 day period.”

The official opening is scheduled for 13 June.

    Drive of distinction

Addagrip approved contractor True Grip was delighted to be approached recently by Sabian Developments to install 530sqm of Addaset Resin Bound Surfacing at a stunning residential property in Epsom, Surrey.

The client chose Addaset 6mm Maple Gold and was delighted with the end result: “Thanks for a fabulous job. Absolute pleasure doing business with you. The gang were both professional and courteous.”

The result is an attractive, seamless, porous, low maintenance, durable surface, which complements the design of the property.
