Ahead of the Commonwealth Games in July, Addagrip approved contractor, Redlough Landscapes, has been involved with the redevelopment of the iconic 1924 Kelvingrove Bandstand and Amphitheatre in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park.
Local main contractor, CCG Construction, engaged Redlough Landscapes to install a fully porous Resin Bound surface to the terraces and an area to the front of bandstand. The 1,500sqm contract was completed using Terrabound 6mm Terracotta . This was selected by the architect to pick out the colours of red brick and clay tiles on the bandstand itself.
Being a porous surface allows the very narrow and tight terraces to be free draining, avoiding having to engineer complicated drain systems and keeping the overall project cost within budget.
Parts of the disused railway line known locally as Railway Walk have been transformed with porous Terrabound resin bound surfacing which provides walkers and cyclists with a smooth, seamless pathway using natural aggregates.
Parts of the disused railway line known locally as Railway Walk have been transformed with porous Terrabound resin bound surfacing which provides walkers and cyclists with a smooth, seamless pathway using natural aggregates. After consultation, a 6mm Rhine Gold aggregate was selected and work was completed within 2.5 days to minimise disruption to the path’s users.
The result is an attractive, hard wearing, low maintenance, porous surface accessible for walkers, wheelchair users and cyclists all year round.
We are delighted to report that iDream Solutions, based in Devon, has recently joined the Addagrip nationwide network of approved contractors and have completed their first Resin Bound installation. The client selected a 6mm Terrabound resin bound surface in Rhine Gold to transform their driveway with a beautiful, low maintenance, porous surface.
