EP REGULATING COAT is a fast curing solvent free three part epoxy self levelling coating. Designed as a universal high build primer for treating uneven floors prior to a decorative top coat.

    Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated should be free of laitance, oil, grease and loose friable particles which could affect adhesion. Vacuum assisted shot blasting or grinding of the surface is recommended.

The substrate must have a maximum of 4% moisture content and be protected any moisture ingress from underneath.

    Mixing

EP REGULATING COAT is supplied in units ready to use comprising ‘A’ (Resin), component ‘B’ (Hardener) and component ‘C’ (Filler). First stir thoroughly contents in container ‘A’ to a homogenous consistency then add component ‘C’ and mix thoroughly for a minute at low speed. Then scrap contents of ‘B’ into container ‘A+C’ and mix thoroughly for several minutes using a low speed electric drill. Use protective gloves and goggles. Failure to mix thoroughly will result in poor or non-cure applied material. Keep all components at room temperature 24 hours before use.

    Application

The temperature of the substrate must be 3 degrees above the dew point temperature. EP REGULATING COAT should not be applied at temperatures below 10˚C nor above 30˚C. Relative humidity should not exceed 80%. Apply the mixed EP REGULATING COAT immediately by notched trowel or squeegee on to the prepared surface. Particular attention should be given to areas around obstructions and protrusions making sure that all the surfaces are covered.
