Addastone Surface Protector is an advanced, heavy duty surface protection designed to treat and protect a variety of surfaces from liquids including oil, diesel, coffee and general water ingress, eliminating the harmful effects of moisture and possible staining. The treatment will also prevent frost damage.

One application will protect, for example, porous aggregates used in Addastone surfaces typically between 2 -10 years depending on usage.

Other benefits are as follows:

• Helps stop moss, lichen and algae forming

• Keeps surfaces looking natural

Areas of use:

Addastone resin bonded surfaces, stonework, patios, block paving, paving slabs, pedestrian areas, car parks, garage floors etc.

Surface preparation:

All surfaces must be free from dust, dirt, oil efflorescence, organic growth and any paints or protective coatings. Pressure washing up to 2500 psi for cleaning purposes is recommended, allow areas to dry.

Surfaces treated with Addastone should have excess stone removed prior to application.

If used to Protect new concrete allow a minimum of 28 days curing and drying before treatment.

Optimum effectiveness of oil and water repellence is 7 days after treatment.

Mixing

Ready to use, no mixing required.

Application

Apply by brush, roller or low pressure spray. Areas treated with Addastone Resin Bonded surfacing must be back rolled to ensure all areas and peaks of aggregate are covered

Substrate Moisture – 5% maximum

Do not apply when rain or frost are expected.

Apply one or two applications to achieve saturation of substrate. A second coat must be applied wet on “wet” within 10 minutes of previous application. Do not apply to excess.

ADDASTONE SURFACE PROTECTOR cannot be over coated with any other product as there will be a loss of adhesion.

Coverage

The coverage rate will vary depending on the profile and grade of the aggregate. Typical coverage rates are as follows:

Natural Stone (medium porosity) 4-5m²/lt

Concrete Slab 5.3m²/lt

Cleaning of hands and tools

Clean all equipment with water after use.
