TATTY DEVINE GETS A MAKEOVER
WITH HELP FROM ADDAGRIP

Addagrip’s high build epoxy coating EP Addaflor has helped give jewellery designer Tatty Devine an unusual makeover at its shop and showroom in Brick Lane, East London.

Tatty Devine, a name well known in the fashion industry, wanted a bespoke, bright pink surface to reflect the company’s individuality and originality. Contractors Designer Resin Floors, a new division of Specialist Industrial Coating Systems (SICL), were briefed to supply and lay a complex resin-based floor design that would be hardwearing in order to withstand the customer footfall in the busy shop.

Designer Resin Floors chose Addagrip’s EP Addaflor, a solvent-free, two-part pigmented epoxy resin coating that provides an impervious, robust gloss finish. This was specified as it offers several possibilities in terms of application and design. Commenting on the project, Peter Lambert-Gorwyn, managing director of SICL said, “EP Addaflor was ideal for this application as it is easy to use and of a very high quality. We were confident that the resin could be tailored to achieve the exact finish required, and Addagrip were especially helpful in creating the non-standard, vibrant colour.”

EP Addaflor also has a fast curing time, which allowed Designer Resin Floors to add a series of company logos, designs, and a sprinkling of glitter dust to the floor to complete the look! Owners of Tatty Devine were delighted with the end results, with Peter Lambert-Gorwyn adding, “Everyone was very pleased with the flooring. The support and technical assistance Addagrip offered has been invaluable to us for Tatty Devine.
